Finding the perfect ski holiday for a large group can be a difficult process. Ensuring you find an amazing chalet at the right price, in the right resort, on the right dates is not as easy as it sounds. It’s very normal for the best ski chalets with the best service to get booked much earlier than you expect. Many avid skiers fall in love with a ski area and will re-book the chalet during their stay for the following year. We have many guests that have stayed with us for over 10 years. As such we highly recommend planning ahead and booking your luxury ski holiday as early as possible to ensure you find the perfect holiday home for your group. At Nine & Tenne your enquiry process will include a phone conversation so we understand all the needs of your group and we can help you find the perfect ski chalet or apartment.
Each group is slightly different and will be looking for something different from their holiday. However, there are a few key criteria that most guests have in common such as:
Good skiing for all abilities
Beautiful chalet with open fire, mountain views, hot-tub and good sized bedrooms
Nice restaurants and apres-ski
Great service from the chalet team
Value for Money
A Luxurious experience
There are plenty of chalets in the Alps that tick all these boxes however there is also a high demand for these properties so they do get booked early especially on the more popular school holiday weeks during the festive season, February and Easter. To ensure your next ski holiday is stress free and perfectly planned we suggest booking all the key elements of your holiday as early as possible for the following reasons:
1. Accommodation
Once you have a group size and certain dates in mind for your next ski holiday we highly recommend looking at different options as soon as possible. The longer you leave it the fewer options you will have and may need to make some compromises or increase your budget to secure a chalet. Most people start thinking about their ski holiday in September at the end of the summer holidays once the kids have returned to school. However by this time most of the best chalets will already be booked on all the the school holiday weeks.
2. Lessons
As with chalets the best ski instructors will get booked very early so we suggest thinking about your lesson requirements as early as possible. Most ski lessons are 2 hours per day for 5 days. On the school holiday weeks the 9am and 11am private ski lessons which are the most popular will be fully booked a long time before the season starts.
3. Childcare
If you are travelling with little ones and are looking for help with childcare during your stay we highly recommend booking early as the local nannies, babysitters and creche get booked up almost a year in advance.
4. Flights
Most guests will fly to Geneva airport and have a pre-arranged taxi transfer to their resort. If you are looking for a reasonably priced flight at a sensible time then we do recommend keeping an eye on when the airlines release the flights and booking early as prices increase significantly the later you book.
5. Special Offers
Many holiday companies may offer an early booking discount which is always a great reason to booke early. At Nine & Tenne in Chatel we are offering a 10% discount for our last few remaining weeks at Ferme du Rys. Please contact us for more information.
If you would like any more information or like to chat about your next ski holiday the feel free to send us an email or give us a call. We have been based in Chatel for almost 20 years and are very happy to help you find the perfect ski chalet and organise all the key elements of your holiday.
